This Lemon Dill Vinaigrette comes together in just 5 minutes! It's tangy with a subtle sweetness and a slightly sharp flavor of fresh dill reminiscent of caraway, making it extra special.
This lemon dill vinaigrette is adapted from my Greek salad dressing recipe! What sets this dressing apart is the rice vinegar and dill, which gives it a unique and tangy twist.
Dill Vinaigrette Ingredient Detail
This recipe relies on two crucial ingredients: rice wine vinegar and a sticky sweetener like pure maple syrup or honey. It's important to note that using vinegar varieties like red wine or balsamic will result in a darker dressing that won't complement the dill well. The sweetener helps to balance the sharpness of the acids.
The Process
Add the lemon zest, juice, rice wine vinegar, pure maple syrup, garlic, dill, salt, and pepper.
Stir using a whisk to dissolve the salt.
Slowly add olive oil while whisking until a smooth, pale yellow vinaigrette forms.
The vinaigrette should be yellow with bits of garlic and dill with no pools of olive oil.
Use it to make a simple arugula salad, beet salad with goat cheese, or steak salad. The possibilities are endless... Heck, you can even use it for perfectly marinated chicken.
