Tzatziki Sauce Ingredients
- Goat milk. It tastes slightly sweeter and creamier than cow's milk due to its higher fat content.
- Lemon. I use the zest and juice to give the tzatziki that tangy, bright lemony flavor.
- Dill. It adds a flavor profile of celery, fennel, and parsley with a hint of anise. It's the most authentic herb for tzatziki.
- Garlic. Gives the yogurt-base umami and flavor.
- Cucumber. I prefer using an English cucumber because of its thin skin, which makes not having to peel it easier.
