I've been adding tahini to everything lately-sauces, chicken, even hot chocolate-but this? This might be my favorite twist yet.
The tahini makes these waffles so tender on the inside, with a subtle nutty flavor that plays perfectly with cinnamon and maple. It's the kind of breakfast that feels a little indulgent, but not too sweet-and totally doable on a weekend or slow weekday morning.

If you're already spooning tahini out of the jar like I am, you're going to love these.
Since you are going to make the best-ever waffles 🙌, let's continue the Mediterranean theme by pairing them with my Egg Muffins with Greek Feta and Tomato with Spinach. So good.
How to Make Cinnamon Tahini Waffles
Place warm milk, melted butter, and all wet ingredients into a mixing bowl. Whisk to combine.
Add your dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.
Use a whisk to combine everything. Do not over-mix. Some lumps are ok.
Tahini Tip
If your tahini is clumpy or too thick, mix it with a tablespoon or two of warm water until it's runny and pourable. This will help it incorporate beautifully into the batter-and keep your waffles fluffy, not dense.
P.S. I love the Al Kanater brand-it's pourable, and comes in a squeeze bottle. Game changer.
Once you've made your waffle batter, place it aside to rest for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, plug in your waffle maker.
Grease your waffle maker, then ladle in batter and cook according to the manufacturer's directions.
How to Serve these Waffles?
Now that you've made these golden, cozy waffles, here's how I really like to finish them: a generous drizzle of tahini, a pour of pure maple syrup, and a few butter chips melting into every square.
The way all those saucy, melty bits settle into the waffle pockets? So good. Don't skip it.
Once your bellies are full and happy, finish the morning strong with a perfectly brewed cup of Turkish coffee. Trust me-it's the kind of moment that makes you want to linger just a little longer.
Whether you're making these waffles for a cozy weekend brunch or just because you need something comforting midweek, they're a little nostalgic, a little bit indulgent, and completely crave-worthy. ♡
