Food has always been my way of connecting with people. After living in Turkey for a few years and marrying into a Turkish family, I developed a deep appreciation for Mediterranean cuisine.
With my best friend from Albania and my husband from Istanbul, this lifestyle naturally became a part of my life (or maybe it just fell into my lap).
In addition to this appreciation for food, I truly love gathering around the table, sharing stories, and enjoying simple, delicious food with the people in my life. This enjoyment not only brings people together but also fuels my creativity in the kitchen. Most importantly, these recipes are meant to be shared with friends and loved ones, strengthening those connections even further...
You'll notice a lot of olive oil, herbs, spices, and fresh produce here - ingredients that make food taste alive. I like to keep things practical (because life is busy!) while still giving you recipes that feel a little special, whether it's a weeknight dinner or something sweet to go with your afternoon tea.
When I'm not cooking, you can usually find me sharing a meal with my husband and our kids, or sipping on Turkish tea while testing a new recipe idea. My goal is to inspire you with food that's approachable, flavorful, and worth making again and again.
