  • Ginger. Use fresh ginger, skin peeled, and sliced. Ginger can be very fibrous. Slicing them thin can help your blender blend the ginger a lot easier.
  • Orange. Peel the orange. I like to slice the orange into fourths and remove any seeds that the orange may have.
  • Turmeric. Turmeric will add anti-inflammatory properties.
  • Black Pepper. It will help activate the turmeric.

All you need to make these ginger shots is a high-speed blender and a strainer.

Add the ginger, peeled orange, turmeric, and black pepper into the blender. Add ½ cup of liquid: water, coconut water, or freshly squeezed orange juice.

Tip: Once you are ready, blend all of the ingredients in a blender.   • 1 large orange, peeled, seeds removed
  • ¼ cup sliced fresh ginger, skin peeled
  • 2 tablespoons sliced fresh turmeric, skin peeled
  • 1 pinch black pepper
  • ½ cup water, coconut water, or fresh orange juice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add the orange, ginger, turmeric, and black pepper to a high-speed blender.
  2. Add the liquid of choice.
  3. Blend on high for about 60 seconds until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  4. For a smooth and consistent texture, use a fine-mesh strainer to remove any lumps from your ginger shots.*see notes

Gently press the mixture against the mesh with a spoon or spatula to extract all the liquid while leaving behind any solids or pulp. Finally, transfer the strained mixture into a serving glass or multiple 4-ounce Mason jar containers.

    Easy recipe and turned out great. Turmeric stains anything. Be sure to wear gloves, keep off your counters and don't use anything plastic.
