These Cinnamon Tahini Waffles are everything you want in a cozy breakfast. They're crisp on the outside, soft inside, and made with pantry staples (including tahini!) for an easy brunch you'll crave all season long.

Ingredients

Units Scale

Wet Ingredients

  • 2 cups warm milk
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 cup smooth and runny tahini (if yours is thick or clumpy, stir in a bit of warm water to thin before measuring)

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the warm milk, melted butter, eggs, maple syrup, vanilla, and tahini until smooth and creamy.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, sea salt, and cinnamon.
  3. Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir gently until just combined. Don’t overmix—it’s okay if it’s a little lumpy. Place batter aside for 15 minutes.
  4. Heat your waffle maker and lightly grease it if needed. Pour in the batter and cook according to your machine’s instructions until golden and crisp.
  5. Serve warm with more maple syrup, a drizzle of tahini, cinnamon, and butter chips. These also freeze beautifully—just reheat in the toaster.
