A bright and tangy orange vinaigrette made with fresh orange juice, Dijon mustard, and honey. Smooth, citrusy, and perfect for any salad or veggie dish.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1/3 cup fresh orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (I prefer to use coarse-ground. It may also be called spicy brown mustard)
  • 1 small clove of garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/3 cup olive oil

Instructions

  1. Juice the oranges, then add the juice to a mixing bowl.
  2. Whisk in the vinegar, Dijon mustard, garlic, honey, salt, and black pepper until the salt dissolves and the flavors start to meld.
  3. Slowly drizzle in the olive oil while whisking until the vinaigrette looks smooth and slightly creamy.
  4. Taste and adjust by adding a little more vinegar for tang or honey for sweetness.
  5. Transfer to a jar or bottle and shake before serving.

Notes

This vinaigrette keeps for up to 1 week in a sealed mason jar. Give it a good shake before each use.
