Ingredients
Units
Scale
- 1/3 cup fresh orange juice
- 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (I prefer to use coarse-ground. It may also be called spicy brown mustard)
- 1 small clove of garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/3 cup olive oil
Instructions
- Juice the oranges, then add the juice to a mixing bowl.
- Whisk in the vinegar, Dijon mustard, garlic, honey, salt, and black pepper until the salt dissolves and the flavors start to meld.
- Slowly drizzle in the olive oil while whisking until the vinaigrette looks smooth and slightly creamy.
- Taste and adjust by adding a little more vinegar for tang or honey for sweetness.
- Transfer to a jar or bottle and shake before serving.
Notes
This vinaigrette keeps for up to 1 week in a sealed mason jar. Give it a good shake before each use.
