  • Yield: About 32 chips ( from 4 pitas) 1x

Description

Crispy oven-baked pita chips made with olive oil and sea salt. Ready in minutes, they’re perfect for dipping into hummus, tzatziki, or your favorite spreads.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 pita breads (any style, Egyptian, Lebanese, or Greek)
  • 2-3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt (adjust to taste)
  • Optional seasonings: garlic powder, paprika, za’atar, or dried herbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut the pita bread into triangles (like little pizza slices).
  3. Arrange them in a single layer on the baking sheet. Brush or spray lightly with olive oil on both sides.
  4. Sprinkle with salt (and any seasonings you love: garlic powder, paprika, or za’atar all work).
  5. Bake for 5–8 minutes (depending on the thickness of your pita bread), flipping halfway through, until the chips are golden and crisp.
  6. Let them cool for a few minutes on the tray. They’ll crisp up even more as they cool.
