Discover the creamy and flavorful goodness of tahini sauce with herbs. Perfect for dipping vegetables or adding a delicious touch to tacos and salads.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice (about the juice of 1 large lemon)
  • 1 small clove garlic
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, lightly packed
  • 1/4 cup lightly packed parsley, no stems
  • 1 spring onion or scallion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/3 cup tahini (use creamy, runny tahini, free of clumps)

Instructions

  1.  In a blender, add lemon juice, garlic, fresh basil, parsley, spring onion, salt, and tahini.
  2. Blend the mixture on high for 60 seconds or until it becomes smooth and creamy.
  3. For the best results, I recommend using a smaller blender like a Nutribullet.
  4. Taste the tahini sauce, and adjust the seasoning by adding a pinch of sea salt, if necessary.
  5. Serve as a dip with fresh vegetables or drizzle onto tacos, chicken, or kabobs.

Notes

How to Store

Tahini sauce should be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator to maintain its freshness for up to 3 days. Be sure to give it a quick stir before enjoying it.
